In this episode, it seems to be that
Sapphire and Webb are the ones responsible for the "theft"
of the Salomons collection of Breguet watches from the L.A.
Mayer Institute for Islamic Art in 1983 (as mentioned in
"The Surest Poison" Part 2).
In the real world, the collection was actually stolen from
there on the night of April 15, 1983. Here, Sapphire (with
Webb) destroys the watches due to their contamination by
Time.
At the time this story was recorded for Big Finish
Productions in 2006, the collection was still missing all
those years later. But the month before this recording was
released, the culprit was finally identified by authorities
and most of the watches located and returned to the museum
by the end of 2008. This real world turn of events kind of
throws a wrench in this particular Sapphire and Steel
story!
