Didja Notice?
With the murder of Veronica, Felicity McDee remarks there
are only nine of them now from an original ten. But she is
ignoring the appearance of
Dr. George McDee in
"Dr. McDee Must Die" Part 2,
now in his office/lab of the mansion, the servants Greville
and Jenkins, and the kitchen staff who are preparing dinner
for the party.
At 7:26 on the DVD, a light reflection plays on the wall
behind Purnell as he tries to make a phone call. Possibly,
it is a reflection of the gold-colored metal of the phone as
Purnell jiggles it, but the angle seems odd.
At 7:53 on the DVD, Sapphire is reading through a book
titled Murder Me Twice by G. Drew. This appears to
be a fictitious book, a prop made up for the episode. The
front cover of the book depicts a human skull with a knife
driven into it and a separate hole in the cranium, possibly
from a bullet entry. The back cover features a photo of the
author; his signature can be seen there and it looks as if
his first name is George. |

Steel reads a book that apparently contains information
about the mansion they are in. The book confirms Sapphire's
suspicion from
"Dr. McDee Must Die" Part 1
that the building lies on top of a ley line. Later in the
episode, Felicity comments that she believes birds navigate
by them; this is an actual theory of many who support the
existence of ley lines.
When asked by Steel what he was doing three days ago,
Lord Mullrine responds he was in London doing business, then
went to his club, the Denver, for lunch and in the evening
went to the theatre, the Knightsbridge Tivoli. These appear
to be fictitious establishments in London. Possibly, the
Tivoli theatre is meant to be located in the Knightsbridge
district of central London.
Sapphire tells Mullrine and the assemblage that the
Knightsbridge Tivoli theatre was blitzed in 1941. She is
referring to the Blitz, a bombing campaign on Britain by
Nazi Germany during WWII in 1940-1941.
Emma tells the assemblage the kitchen staff has prepared
jugged hare for dinner.
Jugged hare is a type of stew cooked with a whole hare.
At 20:35 on the DVD, volumes of
what appears to be
Encyclopedia Britannica are seen on the bookshelves
in Dr. McDee's study.
